Aspire: Next Level Competency Focus
Master the communication, problem-solving, and strategic skills executives rely on — so you can lead with confidence, influence outcomes, and elevate your impact.
Aspire: Next Level will take you on a journey through the essential competencies that every admin needs to excel in their role, through a variety of educational sessions. Keep reading to learn more about the key topics we’ll cover during the event.
1. Executive-Level Communication: Saying the Right Thing at the Right Altitude
In this session, you’ll learn how to communicate with clarity, confidence, and intention so your message lands exactly where you want it to. You’ll practice anticipating what leaders need, reading the subtle cues behind conversations, and tailoring your approach for different audiences. By the end, you’ll know how to deliver concise, high-impact communication that builds trust and elevates your influence. If you’ve ever wondered how to “sound strategic,” you’ll leave knowing exactly how.

2. Conflict Intelligence
Instead of avoiding conflict or absorbing it, you’ll learn how to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface and respond with calm, confidence, and clarity. You’ll practice identifying root issues, exploring motivations, and choosing approaches that create alignment rather than tension. This session gives you practical tools you can use immediately to navigate difficult conversations without sacrificing relationships. You’ll walk away feeling more capable and grounded in moments that used to feel stressful.
3. Advocacy & Negotiation as Leadership
Here, you’ll learn how to advocate for what you need — and what your team or executive needs — in a way that feels confident, collaborative, and deeply professional. You’ll practice framing conversations with data, clarity, and intention so you’re influencing outcomes instead of simply reacting to them. You’ll also explore how to negotiate expectations, priorities, and resources without conflict or friction. By the end, you’ll feel more empowered and equipped to speak up for yourself and others.

4. Critical + Creative Thinking for Strategic Partners
You’ll strengthen both sides of your thinking: the analytical skills that help you solve problems and the creative mindset that helps you imagine new possibilities. Through hands-on exercises, you’ll learn how to reframe challenges, spot hidden opportunities, and generate solutions that go beyond the obvious. This session helps you trust your insights and step confidently into strategic partnership. You’ll leave with tools that make your thinking sharper, more flexible, and more valuable.
5. Reading Between the Lines: The Hidden Curriculum of Executive Work
You’ll learn how to notice what others overlook: the subtext, the signals, the timing, and the unspoken dynamics that influence decisions. This session helps you interpret the “why” behind requests and the context that shapes how leaders operate. With these skills, you’ll be able to anticipate needs earlier, identify risks sooner, and offer support that feels almost intuitive. You’ll walk away seeing your workplace with new clarity — and using that insight to elevate your impact.

6. Leading Through Change Without the Title
You’ll learn how to navigate uncertainty with steadiness and confidence, even when things around you are shifting quickly. This session helps you understand how people react to change and how you can support them through it without absorbing the stress yourself. You’ll practice tools for communication, clarity, and resilience that help you guide others through transition — whether or not you have formal authority. You’ll leave feeling more prepared, more adaptable, and more capable of leading from wherever you are.
